Meursault 1er cru Perrières, Albert Grivault, France, ‘11
These wines have an almost regal air to them. This is possibly, in part, to this grandiose property in the middle of Meursault. This domaine is the largest owner of Meursault Perrières. Very fine with immense length and has excellent concentration of flavours and lots of flinty minéralité. Incredible power!

--£45
Fleurie, Clos de la Roilette, Alain Coudert, France, ’18
The manganese-rich, clay soils of this domaine yield Fleurie’s most original wine: densely-coloured and strongly-scented, with spice and olive notes, its firm extract is simply overpowered by its sweet fruit ripeness and amiable texture.
£13£19£52
Pomerol, Chateau Gombaude-Guillot, France, '14
This 8 hectare estate in the heart of Pomerol, consistently produces classic, Merlot-dominated wines of grace. A nose of pure red fruit balances supple tannis and bags of concentrated bright, juicy fruit punch. Good acidity gives freshness and makes this Merlot-Cabernet Franc blend approachable relatively young.

Very deep and inky. With silky, classy black fruit, always exhibits a seductive, liqueur element. This wine, from ancient (about 87 years old) vines is given a year in French oak. From the cool Mount Barker wine region, some 200 miles southeast of Perth, comes this spicy, tangy, wildberry-soaked wine which has none of the fruit-sweetness that is often associated with Shiraz from South Australia. Shaped more like a northern Rhône wine.

Terrific aromas of liquorice, cinnamon and herbs. Classic mixture of red and black fruits, backed with just enough tannin for grip. Lots of peppery spice. Fine, red fruit finish, hinting at raspberry jelly and Turkish delight. Great with our Chateaubriand.
--£78
Lyndenhurst, Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, California, USA, ‘14
With crimson fruits and bramble, the Lyndenhurst unveils aromas of fresh thyme, cedar, lilac, juniper, and a wild understory. Fine, silken tannins entice the palate through an array of textures.
